During my well woman yoga classes there is a heavy emphasis on practices that tone and balance the organs and glands within the pelvic bowl.
This area is considered to be the seat of a women’s vitality and my classes nourish the uniqueness that each woman’s menstrual cycle offers her – alongside the capacity to navigate all that it can bring. A woman’s cycling years provide a rich feedback system for her self-care, creativity, sexuality and spirituality. My classes are suitable for all women from menarche to post menopause, with or without a womb, whether menstruating or not, and whether maiden, mother, marga or crone.
Having attended Mandy’s well woman yoga classes and benefiting from her wealth of knowledge and genuine kindness I would encourage all of my friends to attend. I not only learnt about yoga but also how my monthly cycle can be a powerful ally in my life rather than something to either ignore or dread. Mandy’s teachings have literally changed how I feel about myself as a woman. I feel more connected to myself and understand how to use the creative energies that our women’s cycle gifts to us.
What happens during a class?
Asanas (yoga postures) focus on spinal alignment, building strength and tone and opening the hips and pelvis. Prananyama (breathing techniques) are learned to utilise throughout your cycle as well as yoga nidra (mental and physical relaxation techniques).
Throughout the class reasons for the practices performed are offered and time is given to allow the participants to genuinely experience the effect of the yoga practice by combining the breath with the movement of the body. Each session runs in accordance with ‘inner season’ of the women present with special practices offered to meet the needs of each stage of a women’s monthly cycle, moon cycle or life arc.
The group dynamic in my classes is very important and I endeavour to create a warm and welcoming space. Providing a weekly time to sink deeply into your own self -care and deepening menstrual mindfulness. Classes are taught in a circle with opportunity for sharing and making new friendships.
How much do my well woman yoga classes cost?
Individually, my well woman yoga classes cost £9 per session. If you book four classes the cost is £30 (classes must be taken consecutively). To book your place please use my online booking form where I ask you to answer a couple of questions, and you will be sent to PayPal for your payment.

Tuesday evenings from 8pm-9.30pm during term time (see dates below) upstairs in the Trevithick Room at the Passmore Edwards Institute in Hayle.
